In addition to representing us at events like Rundvandringen or Amazing Race, we also organize our own activities and host an indtroductory programing course during mottagningen.
Did you not study programming in high school? Or do you need to brush up on your programming skills? Fear not! SNZ offers an Introductory Programming Course during the reception, where we introduce new students to Python and the problem-solving mindset needed as a programmer.
The course is designed to help and prepare new students for the programming they will encounter during their years at Chalmers. For example, Python is essential for completing lab work in many different courses.
Is the thought of exams worrying you? There’s no need! Exam 101 is SNZ’s event designed to introduce new students to how exams work. We cover how to write an exam, share tips on succeeding in your exams, and, of course, explain exam rules.
Can’t wait or missed Exam 101? Don’t worry! The information is also available on Chalmers’ website. You can find it by clicking the button below!
Vi har inte bara arrangemang för Nollan under mottagningen, utan vi hittar även på saker under läsårets gång!
SNZ hosts one banquet per academic year, which everyone is warmly invited to attend. Previous years, it has taken place in May and serves as a celebration of the end of the academic year and a toast to how far we’ve come. It’s also a chance to strengthen camaraderie within the section.
Expect good food and fun at a low cost! SNZ is not only passionate about improving academics within the section but also about great fika and quality meals. We hope to see you there!
We host study evenings in Zaloonen for all students to gather and study together while SNZ provides free food or fika. These occur approximately once every two weeks (even numbered weeks). Unfortunately, there isn’t a fixed schedule yet, but information about upcoming events will be posted in the ActivityZ Facebook group, on our social media, and on posters in Zaloonen well in advance of each study evening.
Azpning
SNZ holds its official aspning (introduction period for committee recruitment) during LP1. However, we also have an ongoing aspning throughout the year. This means that students interested in what we do are welcome to attend our open meetings and see what it’s like to participate.
If you’re interested in joining SNZ, you can apply at any time by contacting us. We are always looking for motivated individuals to join our committee! Students from all year groups within Z are warmly encouraged to apply at any time during the year.
Don’t hesitate—apply!
The reason we have rolling aspning is that it can otherwise be challenging to understand what we do and gain insight into our mission as a study committee. We are always open to new ideas, thoughts, and motivated students, and the more members we have, the better we can represent all students in Z.
Aspa SNZ—it’ll be fun!
